The Scripture Pictures Team wish you a blessed Easter!
On this resurrection Easter Sunday, may we meditate upon Isaiah 53:4-5:
Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows…He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by his wounds we are healed.
One of the elders at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood, Brett Elliot, wrote a poignant Easter meditation:
“…I’ve come to view the cross another way. Just as a cross is the physical intersection of horizontal and vertical beams, it can also be seen as the intersection of Spirit and humanity. Marcus Borg writes, ‘If Jesus is the once and for all sacrifice for sin…it means that God has already taken care of whatever it is that we think separates us from God.'”
“In this light, Jesus’ terrible and wonderful sacrifice represents the coming together of God and man. The cross binds us to our Source. The cross tells us there are no longer any barriers between God and us. We may feel we are surrounded by sin and far from God, but the cross reminds us that God conceived, created, and accepts us – each of us – exactly as we are.

He is Risen!
He is not here. He has risen, just as He said.
Henry says, “This photo of an old rugged cross on a hill captures the death and miraculous resurrection of Christ Jesus. This image captures the essence of the Easter miracle in which Jesus ascended to Heaven and conquered death.”
