Sitting there thinking, “Things should be different right now?”

Take a deep breath. That is not true and you know it.

Because if it were true, things would be different right now.

God’s timing is always perfect. He is right on time.

Check out these scriptures on God’s timing:

But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day! Habakkuk 2:3 TLB

To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

This Scripture Pictures photo of  Proverbs 3:6 was taken by Henry on a very secluded beach in Maui, Hawaii. The gentle waves on the sand remind Henry and Patti of God’s anointing flowing through us, as God’s heart touches others’ hearts through us, as we reach out in love.

Proverbs 3:6 is another confirmation of God’s timing at work in our lives.

Deliverance Scriptures: Scripture Pictures

Scripture-Pictures-27for blogDeliverance Scriptures: Scripture Pictures

Check out this Scripture Pictures photo that describes God’s deliverance, from  Isaiah 40:30-31.

It is called, Soar Like Eagles.

Soar Like Eagles

…those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint.

This Scripture Pictures photo was taken by Henry of the island of Bora Bora from a helicopter with both doors removed. The pilot duct-taped Henry and his wife and into the helicopter so they wouldn’t fall out! This shot offers visual affirmation of God’s magnificence and deliverance power.

Click on the Scripture Pictures photo for a larger view.

God gives us deliverance each day. But we can’t get distracted by the past or worry about the future. Stay present and focus on what God can create today. Tomorrow will reveal itself exactly as God has planned – just as yesterday has.

Restoration Scriptures: Scripture Pictures

Looking for Restoration Scriptures to restore & renew?

Scripture Pictures has photos with a variety of anointed restoration scriptures to refresh, uplift and renew.

Check out this Restoration quote:

“Our character is often most evident in our highs and lows, Be humble at the mountaintops, be strong in the valleys, and be faithful in between.”

Here’s another Restoration quote:

“On particularly hard days when you feel that you can’t endure, remind yourself that your track record with God for getting through hard days is 100% so far.”

I found these quotations all over the Internet, but am not sure who wrote them. Maybe it was the Holy Spirit!

Here’s a restoration scripture picture from Psalm 60:12:

“With God’s help we will do mighty things….”

This Scripture Pictures photo was taken by Henry near the Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau, Alaska as a small boat of tourists passed by. Henry says this shot reminds him of how small he can feel when life gets rocky. But when we call upon the name of Jesus, we can do mighty things!

We cannot love others on our own. It takes the power and grace of the Lord for us to truly love others. This Scripture Pictures photo reminds us that God will give us the compassion to love no matter the situation. It is from 1 John 4:4:

He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

This Scripture Pictures photo was taken by Henry in Arches National Park in Utah. It is the perfect shot for people who admire the rugged nature that God has created. The opening in the arch reveals a beautiful scene of light and hope in the distance that wait at the end of the darkness.

“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” (Joel 2:25 )

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.” (John 14:1)

“Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.” (Zechariah 9:12)

Healing Scriptures: Scripture Pictures

Scripture-Pictures-95Healing Scriptures: Scripture Pictures

Scriptures promise that God can heal ANY affliction, illness, addiction, or heartache.

Here are more healing scriptures from Dodie Osteen’s book, Healed of Cancer. She is Joel Osteen’s mother.

Isaiah 53:4-5 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

Jeremiah 30:17 Amplified Bible (AMP)
For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says the Lord, because they have called you an outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no one seeks after and for whom no one cares!

Matthew 21:21 Amplified Bible (AMP)
And Jesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith (a firm relying trust) and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done.

Please send Scripture Pictures your prayer requests for healing.

Serenity Prayer: Scripture Pictures

Is the Serenity Prayer Biblical?

You betcha!

See our series of Scripture Pictures blogs describing how the Serenity Prayer has direct Biblical references.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.

The 4th line of the Serenity Prayer, “And wisdom to know the difference”, reminds the Scripture Pictures Team of James 1:5, where James encourages us to ask God for His wisdom, as He will give it generously to us if we ask.

Click on the Scripture Pictures photo of James 1:5 for a larger view of the photo called:

God’s Wisdom!

But if any of you lacks wisdom, ask God, who gives generously to all and without reproach, and it will be given to you.

Henry took this Scripture Pictures photo of a family Bible that was brought by his dad  when he immigrated from Hungary to Canada. The cross necklace belonged to Patti’s grandmother. It is a tasteful reminder that Scriptures hold all the wisdom to any challenges of life.

The Serenity Prayer is not in the Bible, but it is filled with Biblical references.

Check out the Serenity Prayer below:

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.

In the third line of the Serenity Prayer, the request for the “courage to change the things I can”, relates to a promise in Scriptures from Isaiah 41:10:

Fear not for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you….”

Serenity Prayer: Scripture Pictures

The Serenity Prayer is not in Scriptures, but its meaning includes many Biblical principles.

For example, the theme of asking for serenity from God is seen throughout the Old and New Testament.

In Philippians 4:7 the Apostle Paul writes that we can experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, when we turn our anxious thoughts over to God in prayer.

Please enjoy our Scripture Pictures photo of Philippians 4:7. Click on the Scripture Pictures photo for a larger view. It is called:

God’s Peace!

And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Henry took this inspiring photo in the Daulo Pass area of Papua New Guinea. This man was playing a handmade flute standing on this cement block in front of a remote village with only a cluster of thatched-roofed huts. It is a unique shot and a witness to a global brother in Christ who relies upon God for his daily needs.

Serenity Prayer: Scripture.Pictures

The Serenity Prayer is not in Scriptures, but its meaning has many Biblical principles.

For example, the  Serenity Prayer’s theme of asking for serenity from God is seen throughout Scriptures.

In Philippians 4:6  the Apostle Paul writes that we can experience the serenity of God when we turn our anxious thoughts over to the Lord in prayer, with thanksgiving.

Please enjoy this Scripture Pictures photo of  Philippians 4:6.  Click on the photo for a larger view. It is in the New Testament Section on our Shop Page in the Philippians Section. The photo is called:

In Everything, Pray!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Henry took this photo in the “upcountry” of Maui, Hawaii, which is known for its lush hillsides. The lone flower “peeping out” from behind the fence reminds Henry of God’s redeeming power to give us serenity in EVERY situation.
