What’s the difference between probability thinking and possibility thinking?

In the natural, people often think that something negative or scary is probably going to happen…

But as believers in Christ, we have possibility thinking, where we always have hope & faith!

Here’s what Joel Osteen says about probability thinking and possibility thinking:

Are you facing something today that seems impossible? With man it may be, but with God, ALL things are possible! If you seem to be in an impossible situation, get with God! Sometimes it’s so easy to focus on our problems and try to solve them in our own strength. But remember, the battle belongs to the Lord. He has a plan for your victory. He has a plan to give you a way out. He is making the things that seem impossible, possible. You can trust Him today. The Bible says that He has plans for your good, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Start believing and declaring, “I am with God, and with God, all things are possible!” Are your bills piling up? With God, all things are possible. Do your relationships need healing? With God, all things are possible. Is there sickness in your body? With God, all things are possible!

In Christ’s Love,

Henry,  Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team

FCCNH: Good-bye to Pastor Justin

bannerFCCNH: Good-bye to Pastor Justin

God has called our church’s youth pastor, Justin Floyd, to a new position at a different church. He has served as a youth pastor at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood (FCCNH) for several years.

Pastor Justin will be giving his last sermon at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood (FCCNH) this Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the 5:30 PM service in the social hall (see the attached photo).

Scripture Pictures invites everyone to hear his sermon this Sunday! Pastor Justin is known for his sense of humor, love of sports, but most of all – his love for God and our youth.

The First Christian Church of North Hollywood (FCCNH) is located at 4390 Colfax Ave., Studio City, CA 91604. The church’s website is www.fccnh.org.

Patti and Henry of the Scripture Pictures Team will be serving food at the 5:30 PM service on Sunday (like they always do every week). Patti will be baking her “famous” bacon and mushroom quiches! There will be plenty of good food to celebrate Pastor Justin’s ministry on Sunday.

The First Christian Church of North Hollywood (FCCNH) will so miss him!!!!

In God’s Love,

Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team

Palm Sunday: First Christian Church of North Hollywood

Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team want to invite you to attend Palm Sunday services at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood.

There is a traditional worship service Sunday morning at 10 AM in the main sanctuary. Pastor Bob Bock usually preaches the morning service. The Scripture Pictures Team thinks Pastor Bob is one of the best preachers they have ever heard! And when you send a prayer request to our church, he automatically is notified on his cell phone. He will e-mail you back a personalized message to let you know he has you covered in prayer.

There’s an evening service Sunday at 5:30 PM. The Scripture Pictures Team serve on the Hospitality Committee & prepare/serve food for this service. Scripture Pictures want to extend a personal invitation to be our special guests at this service.

Patti plans to bake her special Quiche Lorraine for tomorrow evening’s service. The food table at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood always has a lot of yummy surprises. And we have baggies for everyone to take food home with them to enjoy later or to share with family members at home.

In His Love,

Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

This Scripture Pictures photo was taken by Henry under a bridge near a small beach in Mussel Shoals, California. The bridge’s girders are covered with moss, created over time by the surf. It is a unique image that is a poignant statement of God’s regal power in all places – even under bridges!
