Ever felt so trapped by burdens and trials that you couldn’t see a way out?

Then this song is for you!

Here are the lyrics to the song, He’ll Make a Way, by the Crabbe family:

He’ll Make a Way!

“Looking for answers, you need a way out
You’ve been trapped in that trial full of sorrow and doubt
You saw a trickle of sunlight but you found no escape
Just hold on to His promises, He said He’d make a way

Chorus
He’ll make a way in the middle of nowhere
When it seems no one really cares He is there by your side
He’ll make a way when you feel Satan close in
Don’t give up, don’t give in,
He’ll make a way right on time

Standing at the Red Sea, no place to go
Pharaoh’s army was closing in, they’d soon overthrow
But right out of nowhere came a might strong hand
He rolled back the water, He made a way out again

Chorus
He’ll make a way in the middle of nowhere
When it seems no one really cares He is there by your side
He’ll make a way when you feel Satan close in
Don’t give up, don’t give in,
He’ll make a way right on time

My wife and I pray that you will enjoy these photos for years to come and that they will minister to you or your loved one’s heart, mind, and soul for generations. Unlike many gifts that can be quickly forgotten, these scripture pictures will minister to you and yours for a lifetime.

If there is a particular Bible verse that you want to have inscribed on one of my photos, please contact me, as I am glad to do customized work. Ultimately, we hope that each photo leads you back to the foot of the cross where all hope, healing and restoration is found.

To God be the glory! Colossians 1: 16-17: For by Him all things were created, in Heaven and on Earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

In Christ’s Name.

What is my vision for Scripture Pictures?

My purpose is to share the power of scriptures coupled with the magnificence of God’s creation, as captured through my lifetime collection of photographic images. I believe the Lord gives us signs of Heaven on Earth, and I am humbled that God has allowed me to witness and photograph many divine experiences.

As a Christian photographer who has trekked throughout the globe, I have seen Psalm 24:1 come alive before me: “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein.”

This is how my “scripture pictures” came to be.

I pray that my photos bless and encourage you!

In Christ’s Love,

Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team

FCCNH: Prayer Vigil for Peace 12/09/15

Scripture-Pictures-42FCCNH: Prayer Vigil for Peace 12/09/15

Scripture Pictures attended our church’s Prayer Vigil for Peace tonight at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood (FCCNH) in honor of the people who were killed by a terrorist attack in Redlands (California) and in Paris.

For those of you who were not able to make it tonight, Scripture Pictures wants to “bring the prayer vigil” to you.

The First Christian Church of North Hollywood (FCCNH) set up prayer stations outside & inside the Prayer chapel & had a guide for each station. You can do these same steps at home:

First Christian Church of North Hollywood (FCCNH) Prayer Stations:

Faith: Pray for those who carry the burden of bringing and keeping peace. Spend time praying for all the different people working for peace. Try to imagine the burdens they carry. We then placed a rock at the foot of the church’s Peace Pole. (Henry will take a photo of this Peace Pole and we will post it soon – more information coming up!) The rock symbolizes the weight that leaders carry, as they work toward peace. By placing the rock at the foot of the Peace Pole, it represents giving those burdens to God.

HopePray for those who suffer and mourn today. Light a candle to  remember the 14 people who were killed in San Bernardino last week. Pray that the God of all Hope will bring light to the lives of all who mourn.

Love: Pray for peace and beauty. Read and reflect on the words of Isaiah 61:1-7. Choose specific nations and pray for peace. Take a rose petal as a symbol of your trust that God can bring beauty and joy to those nations in the place of the ashes of death and destruction.

Vision: Pray for clear vision of how we might be workers of peace. Stand in front of a mirror and gaze at your own reflection. Understand that peace begins with one person. Ask God how you can make a difference.

Sharing: Pray that we may be able to hear and share one another’s stories. Write, draw, or express your questions, your reflections or your own feelings about what’s happening in our world. Where do you see God in the midst of your living?

God bless all of you!

Henry shot this Scripture Pictures photo in s small sea cave near Hana in Maui, Hawaii. He added the inspirational quote, “Don’t quit 5 minutes before the miracle” because he feels the cave represents how some of us need a miracle in our lives and our close to “being swept away” by our pain. But God has plans to deliver us from our pain and love us through the storms of our lives.

Memorial Day: Scripture Pictures

Scripture-Pictures-92bMemorial Day: Scripture Pictures

In honor of our veterans, Scripture Pictures offers a personalized photo for your loved ones.

Here is a sample of our Scripture Pictures military photo that we dedicated “In Memory of Jake Hoffman” – that was Patti’s grandfather who was a World War I veteran.

You can request either “In Honor of” your loved one or “In Memory of” him or her.

Scripture Pictures will add the name of the person you want to pay tribute to at no additional charge. You simply pay for the photo and let us know the name you want.

The Scripture is John 15:13: “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

(Please click on the Scripture Pictures photo for a larger view.)

Here’s a Memorial Day Poem that is sure to uplift and inspire:

The Best on Earth:

A Veteran’s Day Tribute

If someone has done military service,
They earn the title “veteran,” and more;
They earn our deep respect and admiration;
That they are special no one can ignore.

They sacrificed the comforts we enjoy;
The list is long of all the things they gave.
Our veterans are extraordinary people;
They’re loyal, dedicated, true and brave.

When terror and invasion were real threats,
They showed us they could handle any storm.
We owe our freedoms and our very lives
To our veterans, who served in uniform.

Our veterans should be celebrities;
They’re exceptional; no other group compares.
We’re grateful for the many things they’ve done;
They’re always in our hearts and in our prayers.

We owe our veterans support and friendship;
Let no one ever question what they’re worth.
These men and women served us and our country,
Our veterans–the very best on earth.

Photo Tips: Scripture Pictures

Interested in photo tips from an award-winning photographer?

The Scripture Pictures Team did a series of interviews with Henry Lehn, photographer for the Scripture Pictures site.

He offers photo tips for all photographers – from beginners to the most advanced.

Photo Tip #5: More on Utilizing Leading lines

Use leading lines, also known as converging lines, to attract the viewer’s focus into your image.

In landscape photography, examples of leading lines include roads, paths, and fences.

Anything that creates a line that leads a viewer’s attention into the photo can be used.

Henry says, “The Scriptures Picture photo of Matthew 11:28 is a great example of the use of leading lines. The natural grooves in the rock formation lead the viewer’s focus right to the woman who’s sitting at the edge of the canyon.”

For a larger view, please click on the Scriptures Picture photo of Matthew 11:28 called: God Will Give You Rest!

Come to me, all of you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

This Scriptures Picture photo was taken in an area called the “Wave” near the border of Utah and Arizona. It is a great gift for anyone who wants a powerful, visual testimony that captures both God’s sovereignty and peace all in the same image.

Henry, Patti and the Scriptures Picture Team

Do you like butterflies?

Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team has been blogging lately about the butterfly photos that Henry has taken from all over the world.

Here is another Scripture Pictures photo of a grouping of butterflies. The photo is inscribed with John 3:16 and is called:

God So Loved Me

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

This photo was taken by Henry through a storefront window in Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. Henry added butterfly shots that he had taken in Costa Rica amd Belize. The “mysterious” reflection is from a building across the courtyard. Henry says, “I didn’t even realize that when I took the photo, I got a reflection of the building that was behind me. God had the sunlight just at the right angle to get the shadow of the building from across the courtyard.”

You can find this photo on the Shop Page under the New Testament category in John.
