Healing Scriptures: Scripture Pictures

Healing Scriptures: Scripture Pictures

God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (Psalm 147:4)

Here is a devotion from Joel Osteen about how God heals ALL TYPES of brokenness in our lives.

It is a precious affirmation of God’s power to heal ALL our wounds and restore us.

Please send the Scripture Pictures Team your prayer requests for healing!

He is the Healer

It doesn’t matter what is “broken” in your life today, God’s nature is to bring you complete healing. Do you need healing in your body? Your mind? Heart? Finances? Relationships? God is your healer. Notice what the Psalmist says in this verse: He binds up their wounds. In the natural, if you have a broken arm, it doesn’t just heal overnight. The doctor makes a cast to hold it in place and protect it. He binds up your wound. In the spiritual realm, God does the same thing. He wraps Himself around your brokenness and protects the wounded area until it is strong enough to function properly again. The Bible also says that He is a restorer. That means that when He does a work of healing in our lives, He makes us better than we were before.

If you’re going through the healing process today, know this: it may take longer than you planned, but God is binding up your wound. He is protecting you and healing you. He will bring you out better and stronger than you were before. He will take you to a place of complete healing so that you can live the life of victory He has in store for you.

Happy Memorial Day: Scripture Pictures

Happy Memorial Day: Scripture Pictures

Here are 5 reasons to thank a military service member – either a veteran or a soldier in active service – on this Memorial Day:

1. Freedom to worship God openly in America.

2. Freedom of speech.

3. Protection of the rights of women to get an education.

4. Protection for children from brutal child labor and sex trafficking.

5.  The right to vote.

Millions of people from all over the world do not experience any of these freedoms.

On this Memorial Day, may we all get on our knees and thank God for the blessings that have been bestowed upon our country.

And may we remain vigilant, as Satan engages in spiritual warfare to try to take away these freedoms that our military service men and women have fought so very hard to obtain and sustain.

In Christ’s Love,

Patti, Henry and the Scripture Pictures Team

God’s Hope: Scripture Pictures

God’s Hope: Scripture Pictures

Joel Osteen says:

“Are you in an emotional prison today? You may not have thought about it that way, but if you are holding unforgiveness or bitterness toward someone who has wronged you — whether it was five, ten or thirty years ago — that is an emotional prison.

God’s Word promises that if you’ll step out of that prison and become a prisoner of hope, He will restore back to you double for your trouble! That means if someone wrongs you, instead of getting negative and bitter, your attitude should be, “They just did me a favor. They just qualified me for double!” That’s the attitude of a prisoner of hope.

Lock into the attitude of victory that says, “I will not be defeated! It may look impossible, but I know God can do the impossible. They may have treated me wrongly, but I’m not worried. I know God is my vindicator. It may be taking a long time, but in due season, I know I will reap if I just don’t give up.” Stay strong and in the place of hope knowing that you will come out with double for your trouble!”

“Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.”
(Zechariah 9:12, NKJV)

Prayers for Addicts: Scripture Pictures

Scripture-Pictures-95Prayers for Addicts: Scripture Pictures

Do you love someone who has an addiction?

This prayer is right from the heart, as it asks for restoration and recovery from any addiction.

From http://www.2heartsnetwork.org/addiction.htm:

God of mercy, we bless You in the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Who ministered to all who came to Him. Give Your strength to (name of person addicted), one of Your children, enfold him/her in Your love and restore him/her to the freedom of God’s children.

Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of Your unfailing mercy, strengthen them in the work of recovery, and help them to resist all temptation.

To those who care for them, grant patience and understanding and a love that perseveres. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

In His Love,

Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team

For a larger view, please click on the Scripture Pictures photo of Deut. 30:3-4 called:

Restoration

God, your God, will restore everything you lost.

He’ll have compassion on you.

He’ll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered.

No matter how far away you end up, God, your God, will get you out of there.

This Scripture Pictures photo of the streaking light in the sky was caused after a strong storm had just passed. It represents God’s restoration power in all situations.  It can be found on our Shop Page in the Hope and Inspiration section under “Restoration“.

Jack Hayford Quotes: Scripture Pictures

Jack Hayford Quotes: Scripture Pictures

Want some quotes by Pastor Jack Hayford to uplift & encourage?

Scripture Pictures pray that these Pastor Jack Hayford Quotes minister to your heart:

As we pray, the power of God enters the situation and begins to transform the situation. And in the middle of that, we are being transformed.

God will crush the obstacles in your life if you will follow in His way.

Instead of yielding to fatalism, hear the call: ‘Keep praying, even when tough stuff happens,’ and do this by invading the difficult with thanksgiving, because the truth larger than the problem is that God’s power can transform any mess when He is invited into it.

Our greatest victories are rarely won in an instant, but in the morning-by-morning application of His truth and power which overthrows the strongholds of darkness in our world and secures His purpose in us.

Prayer is not a mystical experience of a few special people, but an aggressive act in the face of impossibility – an act that may be performed by anyone who will accept the challenge.

In His Love,

Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team

Click on the Scripture Pictures photo for a larger view of 2 Timothy 1:7 called:

In the Arms of Jesus, We are Fearless!

For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and of sound mind.

This Scripture Pictures photo was taken by Henry of Tahiti from a helicopter where he had the doors removed to get a better view.  “Talk about being fearless, the pilot duct-taped my wife and I into the seats so we would not blow out!” Henry says. This shot is perfect for those who love adventure and marvel at God’s creation.
