Scripture Pictures introduces its newest Father’s Day Gift of a powerful tiger photo holding an olive branch. (Click on the image for a larger view.) The scripture on the tiger photo is from Proverbs 10:9, and the title of the photo is called:

Healing Scriptures: Scripture Pictures

Here are more healing scriptures from Dodie Osteen, the mom of Joel Osteen, who was healed of cancer:

Psalm 107:20 Amplified Bible (AMP)
He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.

Psalm 103:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases….

Proverbs 3:5-6 God’s Word Translation
Trust the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths smooth.

Isaiah 41:1013 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you!

Healing Scriptures: Scripture Pictures

God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (Psalm 147:4)

Here is a devotion from Joel Osteen about how God heals ALL TYPES of brokenness in our lives.

It is a precious affirmation of God’s power to heal ALL our wounds and restore us.

Please send the Scripture Pictures Team your prayer requests for healing!

He is the Healer

It doesn’t matter what is “broken” in your life today, God’s nature is to bring you complete healing. Do you need healing in your body? Your mind? Heart? Finances? Relationships? God is your healer. Notice what the Psalmist says in this verse: He binds up their wounds. In the natural, if you have a broken arm, it doesn’t just heal overnight. The doctor makes a cast to hold it in place and protect it. He binds up your wound. In the spiritual realm, God does the same thing. He wraps Himself around your brokenness and protects the wounded area until it is strong enough to function properly again. The Bible also says that He is a restorer. That means that when He does a work of healing in our lives, He makes us better than we were before.

If you’re going through the healing process today, know this: it may take longer than you planned, but God is binding up your wound. He is protecting you and healing you. He will bring you out better and stronger than you were before. He will take you to a place of complete healing so that you can live the life of victory He has in store for you.

Firefighter Gifts: Scripture Pictures

Scripture-Pictures-94Firefighter Gifts: Scripture Pictures

Scripture Pictures wants to honor firefighters this Memorial Day, especially as many of them are military veterans.

Show your love and appreciation to  fire fighters by giving Christian gifts of photos from our new In Service / Fire Fighter section at www.scripture.pictures .

Pay tribute to all the men and women currently serving in active duty or who formerly served as a fire fighter. You may also want to honor a fire fighter who has gone home to be with the Lord.

Each photo can be personalized with the fire fighter’s name.

The photo can be inscribed with “In Honor Of….” or, if deceased, “In Memory of….” with your loved one’s name.

The Scripture Picture Team does not have any additional charge for adding a name.

At the top of the photo is: “In Honor of Your Service as a Firefighter” and the Scripture verse is Isaiah 6:8“I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send,  and who will go for us? Then said I, Here I am: send me.” (Isaiah 6:8).

(Please click on the image for a larger view.)

Unlike many  Christian gifts that are soon forgotten, this special tribute will honor that special fire fighter for years to come.

The Scripture Picture Team invites you to send your prayer requests for your loved one who is a fire fighter. We will uphold him or her in prayer.

In Christ’s Love From Scripture Pictures,

Patti and Henry & the Scripture Pictures Team

God’s Hope: Scripture Pictures

God’s Hope: Scripture Pictures

Joel Osteen says:

“Are you in an emotional prison today? You may not have thought about it that way, but if you are holding unforgiveness or bitterness toward someone who has wronged you — whether it was five, ten or thirty years ago — that is an emotional prison.

God’s Word promises that if you’ll step out of that prison and become a prisoner of hope, He will restore back to you double for your trouble! That means if someone wrongs you, instead of getting negative and bitter, your attitude should be, “They just did me a favor. They just qualified me for double!” That’s the attitude of a prisoner of hope.

Lock into the attitude of victory that says, “I will not be defeated! It may look impossible, but I know God can do the impossible. They may have treated me wrongly, but I’m not worried. I know God is my vindicator. It may be taking a long time, but in due season, I know I will reap if I just don’t give up.” Stay strong and in the place of hope knowing that you will come out with double for your trouble!”

“Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.”
(Zechariah 9:12, NKJV)

Francis Chan Quotes: Scripture Pictures

The Scripture Pictures Team want to share some inspiring Christian quotes by Pastor and teacher, Francis Chan:

“But God doesn’t call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust Him so completely that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if He doesn’t come through.”
― Francis ChanCrazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God

“God’s definition of what matters is pretty straightforward. He measures our lives by how we love.”
― Francis ChanCrazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God

“‎”Do you know that nothing you do in this life will ever matter, unless it is about loving God and loving the people he has made?”
― Francis ChanCrazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God

First Christian Church of North Hollywood: Easter

What’s “cooking” at the 5:30 PM Easter Sunday service at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood?

Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team are cooking – that’s what!

Patti is making an Easter snack of home-baked ham (made the old-fashioned way with all the trimmings), baked sweet potatoes made from scratch, and a mid-western green bean casserole.

Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team will also serve french bread with spinach and artichoke cheese spread, topped with fresh basil from a live plant. We’ll have fresh veggies and dip and fresh fruit, too.

Dessert will be an array of fresh goodies. Rumor has it that Patti will be baking pies….

Please show up at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood about 10 minutes early before the Sunday service starts at 5:30 PM so Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team  can welcome you – and to enjoy the food. You are welcome to take food home with you, too.

Happy Easter to you and yours!

In His Love,

Henry, Patti and the Scripture Pictures Team

May God Comfort You at This Time

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

This Scripture Pictures photo was taken by Henry near Joshua Tree National Park in California at sunrise. The dramatic contrast between the silhouette of the jagged, worn Joshua tree and the dawning of a new morning are symbolic of God’s sovereign power to comfort us through all circumstances. Patti says, “This photo reminds me of the Easter miracle – the darkness of the mountains symbolizes Christ’s crucifixion, and the sunrise symbolizes His glorious resurrection from the grave.”

Blood is Still There Scripture Pictures

On this Easter weekend, the Scripture Pictures Team has been focusing on the power of the blood of Jesus.

One of Patti and Henry’s favorite songs is called, The Blood is Still There.

Here’s a YouTube Link to it, as sung by Kevin Spencer.

The Scripture Pictures Team posted the lyrics below, so you can sing along with it.

This song reminds us in a powerful way, that no matter the trials, tribulations and battles that we face, the blood of Jesus is still there to protect, restore and deliver us!

The Blood is Still There

One Dark Night In Egypt
A Fearful Time Had Come
For One Little Hebrew Boy
Who Was His Father’s First Born Son
Now With The Angel Of Death Passing Low
It Was Hard To Fall Asleep
But One Little Lamb Stood In His Mind
As He Laid There Counting Sheep
He Wondered Why The Lamb Had To Die
Why His Blood Was On The Door
Through The Wind And Rain
It Had Still Remained
But He Wanted To Be Sure
So He Called Out To His Earthly Father
With A Trembling Voice So Scared
Crying Father Will You Please Look And See
If The Blood Is Still There
He Said Son Now Don’t You Worry
For The Blood Is There To Stay
The Wind May Blow And The Rain May Fall
But It Won’t Just Wash Away
The Blood Will Stand The Raging Storm
It’s Been Applied With Loving Care
Safe Secured You Can Rest Assured
That The Blood Is Still There
Looking Over The Damage
Satan’s Storm Had Left Behind
The Flood Of Endless Questions
Now Had Filled My Life
The Fear That Gripped My Troubled Soul
Brought Me Back To My Knees In Prayer
Crying Father Will You Please Look And See
If The Blood Is Still There
He Said Son Now Don’t You Worry
For The Blood Is There To Stay
The Wind May Blow And The Rain May Fall
But It Won’t Just Wash Away
The Blood Will Stand The Raging Storm
It’s Been Applied With Loving Care
Safe Secured You Can Rest Assured
That The Blood Is Still
There Safe Secured You Can Rest Assured
That The Blood Is Still There
Lyrics by Gary Duty

Lead Me to the Rock!

From the end of the earth I will cry to You. When my heart is overwhelmed, Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Henry took this Scripture Pictures photo of Morraine Lake near the town of Bannf in Alberta, Canada. The Psalm reminds us that when our hearts are overwhelmed, the Lord is our rock that is so much stronger than we are! The Blood Is Still There to cover us!

I Plead the Blood: Scripture Pictures

Scripture-Pictures-25

Scripture-Pictures-25

I Plead the Blood

I stood within a courtroom
Filled to capacity,
With every race and nation
All staring right at me.
The Judge walked in, took His seat
My crimes began to read.
I raised my head as I looked at Him,
When He said, “how do you plead?”
I said, “I plead the Blood of Jesus.”
Against the crimes You’ve read,
I plead the Blood of Jesus
They’re covered as He said.
For His death on Calvary
Assured me I was free,
There’s now no condemnation,
Tis Jesus’ Blood, I plead.
Then He read out all my crimes,
Listed them one by one,
And I was so ashamed of
The awful things I’d done.
Then He looked again at me,
This awesome, fearful Judge
He said, ‘how do you plead?’
I said, ” I plead the Blood.
I plead the Blood of Jesus
Against the crimes You’ve read,
I plead the Blood of Jesus
They’re covered as He said.
For His death on Calvary
Assured me I was free,
There’s now no condemnation,
Tis Jesus’ Blood, I plead.
